Hey Jeremy thanks for responding on the discussion...I was starting to think there wasn't any people who had cool engagements. I mean there is a bunch of people that are in that group and I'm sure they had to be proposed to. How have things been?

well i had the option of working for the University of Phoenix in there Marketing dept. in AZ. or working for the State of Wyoming as a Corrections officer. 5 years ago I would have thought about short term benefits (salary, salary, salary) but as you get older and you realize that your life is not about you, you think differently. I think about my family first and the long term benefits. So I moved to Wyoming and took the State job as a corrections officer. The salary is great but it was the pension, health benefits, and the 457 Deferred Compensation plan that were the deciding factor. There is no State taxes. the pension is 65% of your highest salaried pay year (retire in 20 years), and the 457 is profitable (like all investment options it has risk). With the 457 the state matches what I put in. I talked with a lot of the state employees (execs., directors, mangers) and took the most consistent and most mentioned investments. I'll track them myself but I just needed a few pointers and tips. It was a difficult to leave my family but it was a 'necessary sacrifice' that will pay off (literally) in the long run.
My family is GREAT!!! Thanks for asking. Congrats on the marriage. Well, the past year (during my MBA) I was in Lansing often but as of Monday I moved out of state for a job.
I graduated from the University of Phoenix (online) last month.
