Sexton Reunion - Reflect and Regroup with the Lansing Big Reds!

I would like to thank the Sexton Reunion Planning Committee for taking the time to plan such a great weekend! Thank you Jabari once again for taking the time to keep all of us in touch. Thank you to Fred for waking up at the wee hours of noon and showing up at 3pm to man the grill even though you caught the flu at some point on Friday night at Reno's. Really, we appreciated it Fred. I think you are kind of beginning to take on the roll of Sexton Reunion patriarch. Thank you to all of the softball players for giving us a great game. If you would like to see pictures from Friday go to the 80's vs. 90's group discussion. Laura, Laura, Melissa and the other members of the planning committee, once again thanks! It was great seeing you. Thank you to my cousin Eric Arntson (or Arntsen, Eric is taking the Norwegian spelling of his name back.) for sponsoring the event through his Domino's stores here in Lansing. See ya'll at Christmas!

Thanks Jamie for the kind words and it was great seeing the family. Your children are soooo adorable and I loved seeing your husband playing around with your son. I got so much catching up to do on this site and will be doing that throughout the week:-)

I think we should have a more charitable component to these parties too. I liked the canned food thing but I wonder if we could do more. Maybe we could get more sponsors and do a fundraiser or something. At this point maybe we should just do a 'save our school' fundraiser since they are talking about closing two Lansing schools and making one big one. Ok, I know that won't work but the homeless shelter, food bank????? What about people from our own school that have fallen on hard times? Not sure how you would go about that one but throwing it out there. I can help with the big picture and ideas.....details....not so much. I also don't mind calling people and companies. I could hit up some legislators too. You know they like to get the word out of their good deeds.....LOL! I meet with them a lot so let me know.

Thanks to all big red's that pulled through in a big way!!
Jabari for making it all happen in the first place! Fred for being the Official poster child of Sexton Alumni- and naming the 80's/90's smackdown trophy after a most precious departed family member our Katie - and- Eric for not only hosting the event through his Domino's, which was really, really awesome, but for giving my brother the honor of taking the trophy home- it's in a special spot- what a gesture, what a crew, what a great time, what a school! You guys are truly my family, even better cuz i actually like you guys!
Looking forward to more good times ahead...til next time. Peace.

Thank you Jamie! I am glad that you had such a wonderful time. I really enjoyed the entire weekend and was grateful for everyone that came out. It was so nice to be able to do that and I really looking forward to next summer when the 90s can beat the 80s team AGAIN!!!

Fred I am truly scared of your evil ideas and will have think long and hard before I decide to attend. Ha ha!!
