BB, man u taking it back, but u r right I remember being a lil shorty watch u guys from the rafters of jdubbs. That legendary game vs Flint NW and my man Ice and crew laced them was the day I decided I wanted to play hoops @ JDubbs 4 real (b4 that I was torn, b/c I lived closer to Everett and wanted to maybe follow in Magic's legacy)..but needless to say I made the right decision! JDubbs is where its at both on the court, and the school (some great times in the halls). def agree on the 3ptrs also. u guys got cheated in the record books on that 1. i also gave eternal props to Carey (my play big brother) on the greatest playground legends blog...i like that nickname "the prodigy". sik wit the handles & dimes 4 real as like a 11yr old killing cats 17-18yrs old on the playground.

James Simmons put up 35(which woulda been 50 ) on Flint Northwestern, who had Glen Rice, Andre Rison,Jeff Grayer Anthony(yankee) pendleton, all who went Div.1 and three went on to the NBA or NFL! We were ranked in the top 10 USA today, and that was because we had ICE!! He was on the front of the program handed out at the Final four at Jenison, and we weren't even in the final four!!!( lost our first game in Regionals to Jackson, 23-1) First Team in Lansing history to run the table on the regular season (20-0, beat errbody twice) We were #1 in the state Eastern #5, Everett #8, Jackson was top 10, only one could go to q-finals, That was just not right!!

it feels to get some love because we really didn't get props not having the 3 point line. But flat out James Simmons was head and shoulders above any 3 point shooter we ever had, and that's word!. We came up together ad he was my mentor, but his little brother Carey was the prodigy, raw talent like A.I.! (That's another blog in itself) I had a game against Grand Ledge where I hit 7 20 footers in a row, which shoulda been 21 points in one quarter, but it was only 14. One of J Dubbs best EVER was Arvis "roach" Rhodes. Came right before Magic, and gave him FITS!! We gotta make sure we do our history when we talk 3-point shooters, cuz we didn't get the chance to live that era. Still though , appreciate the luv!!

LOL!!! Reggie you are straight clowning, but I feel ya....believe that!!! Being from the class of 1989 and only losing 3 games during our Freshman and JV season, we were supposed to be state bound by the time we were Juniors in '88. To this day...I hate Zone Defenses..LOL!!!

LOL Kareem and Reg. I can't watch the movie Hoosiers the same after what they did to us that night. Dang, thought we were ready to knock out Jackson again in the semi's and move on. Yeah Reg, you got dressed and broke wide.
